I am having one hell of a time with my internet connection since Turkey day. Some drunk idiotess down the road knocked out a phone line when she ran her Suburban Assault Vehicle into a junction box, and my DSL stil ain’t right; it keeps going in and out.
I am trying here. The Phone Co. says they should have someone out tomorrow. Just in time for me to be in Indianapolis all next week.

Yes, Virginia, there is no “Buyer’s Remorse.”
This is what I have never understood. Some hottie gets all wasted, does stripteases on the bars, starts french kissing everyone she can reach, and drags what looks to her to be Tom Cruise off to the bedroon for a night of drunken money sex….
…and then wakes up to find that Tom Cruise is really Napoleon Dynamite, and she wants to cry rape. Or has had a blackout, and wants to cry rape even after a party full of people witnessed her demanding that this stud “do her” over and over. No. I am sorry - no wait, I’m not sorry. No. It doesn’t work that way. If no means no, yes means yes, and if you have such a fucking problem with booze you start behaving badly and screwing men you normally wouldn’t share a park bench with, you have a drinking problem, and need AA, not a lawyer. You’re equal, sugar-doodle. You’re an autonomous agent of yourself. This means being responsible for being as dumb as a sack of hammers too.
Now, if you are unconscious, that is one thing. Blackouts aren’t unconscious, though. I know. I have had a few blackouts. Tales of what you did the night before are rarely pretty, but it’s not up to someone else to be your keeper.
It doesn’t escape my notice that those who are perpetually outraged are the same left wing asshats to whom such things as “personal responsibility” are heresy. I guess to them such trifles as “equality” and “empowerment” come without a cost, and as license to be as bad as they wanna be, with the burden on everyone else to read their minds and give them exactly what they secretly want.
Life doesn’t work that way, and it’s a cold hard fact that in the vast and overwhelming majority of cases, people who are “victims” of something are usually primarily victims of their own abject stupidity. Yeah, and that includes the soi disant “wictims” of the new and watered down definitions of rape. Rape requires a clear no, and someone forcing you against your express will. Six too many margaritas followed by an enthusiastic romp with someone you’d normally view as a repulsive toad falls far, far short of this criteria.
Oh yeah, lady. You’re up there dancing on the table in a halter top showing cleavage a mile long, a miniskirt, a thong, fishnests with garters, and ankle strap heels; and that guy drooling over your is really just fascinated with your viewpoint on global warming. Did Santa tell you that? The Tooth Fairy? Or the Ascended Masters from the planet Vulcan who live in your box of Rice Krispies? I got news: If you are grinding your goodies in the face of the guy you just met this evening, you are not sending the message you want a long-term, meaningful, and mutually respectful relationship - you are sending the message that you want to have your cervix scratched with his scratching tool. The time to talk about such things is before you are in the back seat playing sausage taster, not after. Him not going along with a script you have not clearly articulated beforehand is your problem, and yours alone, as you have surrendered any moral high ground. And waking up the next morning and saying, “I screwed WHO?” isn’t rape. It’s called the consequences of being a fucking dumbass.
This isn’t called “Blaming the Victim.” Let me make this clear. YOU ARE NOT A VICTIM. There are real victims in this world. You are just a stupid bitch with no self control, and without the guts to accept responsibility for your own actions, and by trying to place yourself in the category of those real victims you cheapen them, and cheapen yourself further, and should be ashamed on top of feeling stupid and embarassed.
You know, I really don’t worry about it happening to me, I’ve lived enough life to the point were I stop my booze intake before I lower my IQ below a hundred. And I really don’t find whiskey-reeking sluts to be all that hot, nor do I particularly care for kissing someone whose mouth tastes of some hellish chick drink, or screwing someone who I am going to have to worry about dodging a stream of projectile vomit. Some of these tramps I see only as distributors of the STD of the Month Club, and I have better things to do than spend the next couple weeks pissing fire - if I am lucky. My first wife gave me the clap, and I have no desire to repeat the experience, let alone with something worse, or which just hangs around like the Buddha Clock you can’t even give away at the yard sale.
Like it or not, though, how you behave determines how people view you, and if you dress like a streetwalker, behave like an exotic dancer, suck the face of guys you have only known for a few minutes, and make yourself available to them, you will be percieved and treated as a piece of meat, and a casual piece of ass. How “that guy” should behave isn’t the point. How YOU should behave is. And if the message recieved by all and sundry is “Free Pussy! Take a Number!” and that isn’t the message you want to send, you should seriously be doing some critical self-evaluation and consider changing the message you are sending, and the medium of sending it.
(Not to mention, actually delivering on the goods as advertised renders your objections more than just a tad disingenuous, but that is another story.)
However you may spin and slice it, though, yes means yes, een if it is slurred and spoken through a haze of drugs and booze. How the hell anyone an say they want to be in charge and in control of themselves, their own will, and their own body, and then dump chemicals into themselves which put them out of control, AND THEN claim to be a victim is not only outrageous, it is laughable.

Friedrich Nietzsche-
A philosopher who believed that the highest
achievement possible for humanity was genius.
The idea that all people are equal was absurd
to him. If the majority had to labour and
suffer to serve the interests of one brilliant,
super-moral man (not woman) then that was the
way nature intended. He’s often cruel but
examines the world from a perspective few are
willing to entertain.
Which Philosopher are you?

Heh. Go figure.

“If I’m in trouble I simply dial 911 and expect one of their state ‘agents’ to show up and protect me…and you have the same privilege.”
Okay - I have police officers comment here - anyone want to be the first to say just what is so very wrong in this statement?
Never mind, I’ll do it. Listen up, listen good, and put this in your brain - It is not, and never has been, the job of police to “Protect” anyone, the whole “Protect and Serve” notwithstanding. Any protection that arises from police is incidental, and in the form of deterrence - either a criminal fears getting caught in the act, or fears being caught after the fact. Prevent crime? No. Investigate and punish crime? Yes.
It is the job of police to (A) investigate overtly suspicious behavior - i.e., that of stupid criminals, or (B) to pick up the pieces after victimization has occurred. Which means, unless the gendarmes actually SEE some asshat hanging around in an alley with a gun, or see him in the act of robbing you, they can’t protect you. You get to call them after you have become a statistic in over 90% of the cases.
Burglary? In and out. 5 minutes. Tops. Muggers that take two minutes have their head up their ass. “It happened so fast” isn’t accidental - from the criminal POV, it’s just good business practice. It’ll take 911 that long to get your SSN.
Yeah, that’s right. YOUR Social Security Number. If you call the cops, guess what the first thing they do is? They run your ID to see if they need to be prepared to arrest YOU. They are checking your wants and warrants.
LOL!!!
Protect you? Agents of the state? What an utterly ridiculous statement.

The Seattle Times: Local News: Shooting victim at mall drew gun, family says:
“‘Our understanding is that Dan drew his weapon and confronted the gunman,’”
And there is his problem. You don’t draw a gun and “confront” someone. You draw it and shoot them.
This is why I have never had to draw mine; because I have no intent of it ever coming out of its holster unless it is blazing.

In fact, she left willingly. Furthermore, she chased David Ludwig down to go with him, and wanted to get married to him, after he had just murdered her parents.
I dunno, people. Sounds an awful lot like “accessory after the fact” to me.
But I bet she’ll be “Too pretty to go to jail” too.

Slut who has sex with 14 year olds gets slap on the wrist

Portrait of a Predator
“To place an attractive young woman in that kind of hell hole is like putting a piece of raw meat in with the lions,” Lafave’s attorney, John Fitzgibbons, said in July of the possibility of jail time. “I’m not sure she would survive.”
Gee, wonder where some girls get the idea that they are “Too Pretty” to go to jail?
Excuse me while I go vomit.

A lot of play has been given lately to the whole idea of aborting babies diagnosed pre-natally with Down’s Syndrome.
That particular debate is a little to easy for some people. Let’s change the players.
RESOLVED: I am looking forward to the day when we can identify the alleged “Gay Gene.” That way this can be caught, and such children killed before they can be born.
Discuss. You lefties, too, if you have a pair.

D.L. Stewart: For some inexplicable reason, mom’s the word
Like most persons who have had one of their own, I’m a great fan of mothers.
Motherhood has been around nearly as long as there have been persons. Without mothers, the sales of flowers and candy in May would plummet, there would be fewer songs for Irish singers and the birthrate would fall dramatically. Because I have nothing but the deepest respect for mothers, I never would say anything bad about them. Besides, dissing someone’s mother is a good way to get hurt really, really badly.
Still, I think those of us in the news business need to be a little careful about how — and when — we refer to motherhood.
The other day, for instance, there was a story about a traffic fatality. The headline said that a mom had been killed. I’m very sorry for her family’s loss, but I’m not sure why the fact that she was a mom was included in the headline. On the same page there were two stories about men, and both headlines merely used the word “man.”
But there is no subtle bias against men in the media, no glorifying motherhood, and dismissing fatherhood.
But I might not have noticed all that except for the fact that it came just a few days after a television report that caught my attention.
Promoting the upcoming 11 p.m. news, an announcer declared that the top story concerned “four moms” who had been found guilty of a serious crime that day. So I stayed tuned to the channel, and when the 11 p.m. news came on, a news reporter confirmed that the top story had to do with “four mothers.”
Four bad mothers. But I digress.
According to the report, the four women had stolen some clothes from a store. As they were making their getaway, their car struck and killed a man who had just stepped off a sidewalk. All four women were found guilty of murder, although the verdicts may be appealed.
However it turns out, the story was a tragedy for all concerned. But I’m still trying to figure out where motherhood entered into it. If four guys who happened to have children were in that car, would anyone have reported that “four dads” had been found guilty of a serious crime?
This is rhetorical, right? Men? Kill them! Murderers! The woman they killed was a mother! Crucify Him! CRUCIFY HIM!!!
Maybe it was because the thought of mothers committing a crime goes against our perception of motherhood. But in the past few years, stories involving mothers who have committed crimes against their children have become way too frequent to support that notion.
Or maybe it was because we’re still uncomfortable with sending mothers to prison.
One of the women, in fact, immediately played that card. As the verdict was read, according to news reports, she pleaded, “We’ve all got kids. My baby is 1.” At the risk of sounding hard-hearted, she probably should have thought of that before she went out to steal clothes.
Preach it. Let me repeat: If she was such a good and concerned mother, maybe she should have thought about that before she decided to be a thief. Her wardrobe was apparently more important to her than taking care of her kid’s welfare.
No matter how you slice it, that makes her a Bad Mother.
Still, it’s a tragedy. Four women will be going to prison. At least four children will be minus a parent. And, by the way, a man is dead.
None of the news accounts I saw mentioned whether he was a father.
D.L. Stewart’s column appears Tuesday, Friday and Sunday in the Life section. Contact him at 225-2439 or by e-mail at dlstewart@Dayton-DailyNews.com.
In which case you have at least five kids without a parent.
But that’s okay. Because a dad is an afterthought, an add on, an option. Not necessary. Not needed.
Don’t see why that fifth kid would cry.

An email from a professor to a student, presented unedited for your edification.
Dear Rebecca:
I am asking my students to boycott your event. I am also going to ask others to boycott it. Your literature and signs in the entrance lobby look like fascist propaganda and is extremely offensive. Your main poster ‘Communism killed 100,000,000′ is not only untrue, but ignores the fact that CAPITALISM has killed many more and the evidence for that can be seen in the daily news papers. The U.S. government can fly to dominate the people of Iraq in 12 hours, yet it took them five days to assist the people devastated by huricane Katrina. Racism and profits were key to their priorities. Exxon, by the way, made $9 Billion in profits this last quarter–their highest proft margin ever. Thanks to the students of WCCC and other poor and working class people who are recruited to fight and die for EXXON and other corporations who earning megaprofits from their imperialist plunders. If you want to count the number of deaths based on political systems, you can begin with the more than a million children who have died in Iraq from U.S.-imposed sanctions and war. Or the million African American people who died from lack of access to healthcare in the US over the last 10 years.
I will continue to expose your right-wing, anti-people politics until groups like your won’t dare show their face on a college campus. Real freedom will come when soldiers in Iraq turn their guns on their superiors and fight for just causes and for people’s needs–such freedom fighters can be counted throughout American history and they certainly will be counted again.
Prof. John Daly”
I take back the “Assbag” epithet. And I humbly apologize to assbags everywhere.
Murder their superiors.
I am speechless.
This is liberalism for you. And people wonder why I would sooner gargle with sulphuric acid than have anything to do with such a morally bereft way of thinking.

You know, I remember when I was younger, the Presbyterians had a rep as being a fairly conservative bunch.
How the mighty have fallen.
They sure aren’t orthodox. Hell, these people aren’t even heterodox. I guess we can call them “Homodox.” Imagine - denying a sacrament of the church to straight couples as a political stunt.

Schools suing for $35K tuition
This is the kicker:
“The Ohio Department of Education told us we could attend either school district, because we were paying taxes in both,” Huegel said.
Yeah - we want to collect taxes from you for schools, but not, you know, actually let you use them.
Am I remembering wrong, or did we or did we not fight a war over shit like this about 230 years ago?
Abso-fucking-lutely unbelievable. No - on second thought, it isn’t. Which is even more pathetic.
If you ask me, it’s way past time to reinstitute the venerable tradition of “Tar and Feathers.”
