I have several copies of the Koran.  And I have put one in my bathroom.  And starting last night, every time I use the can, I am taking one page of it AND WIPING MY ASS with it.

While at Wal-Mart I ran into someone who has on occasion been a thorn in the side of me by his opposition to the divorced/single father’s group I used to run; the usual accusations of “You guys are whiners” and “You sound just like feminists” and “Yeah, it’s wrong, suck it up and be a man.”

So what’s up with him?  He wishes my group was still around (It is, but we got weary of being driven out of public spaces for “exclusion of women” and operate by word of mouth.) because last year, his wife left him, he got stuck paying child support for three children, rarely gets to see them, and it turns out the middle child is probably not his.

And his kids are calling her new man “Daddy Mike” and he probably is the real father of the middle one.

I wish I could muster some sympathy.  And I know I probably should have said “Here - Tuesday nights at seven, over at this address.”  But you know what?  I’ve put up with a lot of this shit over the years from assorted morons, and I’m just weary of people like him, who put the blinkers on, stick their head in the sand, and won’t see what goes on until their own balls are in a vice.

And it isn’t just the dismissal, this fuckwidget used to be on the board of a property we used, who was a driving force behind expelling us, at his wife’s bidding - same wife who fucked him over.  So I can’t help thinking, “There ya go, bitch.  And it couldn’t have been more poetic justice.  Fucking suffer. What you get for being a mangina lapdog, looking for your pat on the head.  Whiner.  Suck it up and be a man!”

*sigh* My vacation is coming up.  I think I need it.

Is the Indianapolis Star; and one of their features is a Opinion Blog which appears as a column on Fridays called “Fresh Thoughts.”  What appear in here are the opinions of High School and College students.

The idiocy that comes out of this column is most entertaining at times;  The older I get, the more convinced I am that the age of voting, consent, drinking, et al should be raised to 30.  Naive Stupidity is the best I can summon.

Sometimes, though, you can grasp the idea of just how - well - dangerous such ideas can be from people who just don’t have enough experience to deal with the real world.  Let’s take this morning’s Column.  Kamilla Benko - a High School Student! - writes:

Last week I was in Boston visiting family. Boston is a large city with lots of people, places, streets and even more road construction than that found in Tom Brady’s European “jaunts.” But I realized there was one major difference between Boston’s roadwork and ours. At every construction zone, there were almost always two policemen monitoring the traffic.

This is because Boston (Hell, Massachusetts) is a very Liberal Police State .

Maybe it’s just the area where I live, but I seldom see police supervision at these risky sites. Cars speed by, ignoring the flashing lights and orange construction cones while workers stand a yard away. There are many tragic stories involving careless drivers and construction zones. I found that police presence instantly alerted drivers to the hazardous conditions, or at least, slowed them down.

Construction zones don’t create careless drivers, dear.  Idiot drivers are careless in or out of construction zones.  They also tend to slow down when police are around - again, in or out of such zones - because they don’t want tickets.

I understand that our city is already short on police, but there is a secondary but major benefit to such supervision. The increased surveillance has led to many drug busts and penalties for license violations. Police officers are not just standing at these sites, but are increasing the presence of law enforcement in the community.

This letter is a prime example of a slave mentality.  Police us. Control us.   Please do us a favor, Kamilla.  Do be like all the other young idiots and put off voting for a decade or so.

But then there is perpetual moron Aidan Rogers.  But first, just because I am a mean bastard, get a load of her - him - it:

The difference is that most of us in the Western world have enough contact with other Christians that we understand how slim a representation the violent and irrational ones are. We are not so fortunate when it comes to Islam. Our contact with true Islam is limited,

so we know only what we see on television, which is slanted toward human interest and big events, not the everyday lives of individuals halfway around the world.

Trouble is, every day we hear about some Mooselimb blowing up innocent people, Aidan.  That *IS* everyday life.

In America, there seems to be this belief that no Christians are terrorists and all Muslims are.

Strawman, Aidan.  The belief is that Christians who are terrorists are aberrations who are not following the precepts of their faith, and Muslim terrorists are common, and ARE following their faith.  And it’s a true perception.

What is actually true is that a handful of both are terrorists, but the majority are not, and neither religion preaches violence as a means of messaging.
