Joe Biden - Perennial wannabe. Not to be taken seriously.

Hillary Clinton - To be taken seriously, and - I do not use hyperbole - if this woman comes near the oval office, expect her to institute some absolutely fascist policies. The front runner, though, she is the bitch to beat. She’s not as politically astute as her husband, and this could work against her, as she is the most disliked candidate in the field. Her candidacy could energize the Republican base to vote against her, so she is walking a tightrope to avoid honking them off. And if she can keep her mouth shut with her tendancy to make “baking cookies” cracks, she might fly under their radar. I think she is praying for a Guiliani or Huckabee ticket against her.

John Edwards- Heh. The Breck Girl. Possibly even more of a joke that Plagiarist Joe. Fading fast. Hillary better be nice to him, though, because if he drags his feet in endorsing her - or if he endorses Obama - she is in a lot of fucking trouble. Oddly enough, he’s still a dark horse for now, so I could be wrong on his candidacy.  I don’t see it,  he’s still carrying John Kerry’s baggage, and Kerry just won’t shut the fuck up.

Dennis Kucinich - Mad as a fucking hatter. While a Kucinich/Ron Paul race would be entertaining, and probably wind up electing a third party… yeeech. He’s a darling of the hardcore Moonbats. Another one to be treated with Kid Gloves by the major players, but they can afford to do so as he is eminently unelectable.

Barack Obama - A serious challenger to Hitlery Klintoon. Not, I think, enough experience to be effective as president, or to play hardball with the Clinton Machine. Barak, though, is genuinely likeable, and could benefit greatly if he can court the rest of the players and win endorsements as they drop out.

Bill Richardson - Let’s face facts - Bill is running for V.P., and is the leading candidate.

Mike Gravel, Christopher Dodd - Not enough recognition.

Rudy Giuliani - Ah, the Right Wing Liberal. Sorry, Rudy, you need more of a campaign slogan than the unofficial “I’m not Hillary.” If in a race with Hillary, he cannot win, there is just not enough contrast between the two. He might be able to beat Obama - in fact, probably. Obama’s open liberalism is more egregious that Hillary’s, and there is more of a contrast between him and Rudy’s Rockefeller Republicanism, and Rudy is a better politician. If Rudy wins the nomination, count on the party base staying home in droves.

Mike Huckabee - George Bush II. Mike Huckabee is a big government Republican who wants to be your mommy. He can deliver a conservative base, but probably is the most hated on the left. A lot of fence sitting greens who might be inspired to vote against Hillary Clinton (The Naderites) will probably vote for her instead of risking George Bush elected to a third term electing Mike. While he is a big government type, he is genuinely more conservative than Bush, so he has a chance to court the base and get their support. He can beat Obama, but he hasn’t a prayer against Hillary.

Mitt Romney - It is not Mitt’s Mormonism that will do him in, but his Clintonism. Mitt is too much of a flip-flopper. He could possibly beat Obama, but Hillary would chew him up, he is as much not in her league as she is not in Slick Willie’s league.

Tom Tancredo - Tom is good on Immigration, and would be effective if he would run in a peace time where he could make the election about Illigal Aliens. Unfortunately, it’s not, and he is going to drop out soon.

Fred Thompson - I could genuinely like Fred if he would kick it into a higher gear. Fred needs to go into a full court press and stop being so damn nice to the rest of the Republican field. Time to toss out the 11th commandment, Fred. You window of opportunity is closing. Also working against him is the fact that he is genuinely feared by Hillary and Barak. He is a conservative who can deliver the base for the Republicans, so the BMSLM press is trying their best to ignore him and give him no face time - and the Rudy Campaign House Organ Fox News isn’t either.

Ron Paul - A true Nutcase, Ron is the epitome of the Libertarian True Believer. He is very popular among his followers, who are vocal beyond their numbers. Trouble is, he suffers from libertarianitis, which is a tendancy to be doctrinaire, politically ignorant, and will eventually succumb to their tendancy to never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity. He could play a spoiler to a Guiliani or Huckabee campaign.

John McCain - John, John, John … isn’t it time for your nurse to change your Depends? You really need to stay on your meds. “John McCain - snatching defeat from the jaws of victory since 1988!” I am waiting for his Howard Deanesque meltdown. YAAAAAH!

Duncan Hunter - I like Duncan in a lot of ways, but he’s just not got enough name recognition. Anyone has the sense to make him VP, and he can deliver a lot of conservative votes. A Thompson/Hunter campaign could be formidable indeed, and a ticket good for two terms.

Alan Keyes - Stick to writing, Alan. You just suck as a politician.
