Long time readers here will know I am a member of the Catholic Church.
So first, I am no evangelist. I have no interest in converting you, and really, it’s of profound indifference to me whether you go to hell or not. I don’t presume to “judge” anyone, all I can do is tell you what the good book says. If you don’t accept that as an authority, or think the Man Upstairs is going to be fucking impressed when you try to go all Perry Mason on him - well, you have fun with that.
But this post is about me walking the walk, and policing my own. Catholics. And let me start by apologizing to America that fifty-fucking-three precent of Catholics voted for Barack Obama.
For Shame.
I don’t want to hear from cafeteria Catholics about how the Church calls us to care for the poor and all. It’s a half-truth, so it’s a lie. It calls for the church to do it. It calls for the individdual to do it. ANd all it calls for the government to do is get the fuck out of the way and let us. Not fucking institute socialism. John Paul II fought against that monster, with Ronaldus Magnus, for a reason.
If you disagree, you’re wrong. And you’re an idiot.
The “Seamless Garment of Life” people are idiots too. In any event, if you believed for a single instant your pious claims, you’d still think Barack Obama was a fucking monster for voting to allow babies born alive during an abortion to die on a table. In any event, the catechism of the Catholic Church specifically makes allowance for just war.
You may certainly argue whether a war is just or not. Being a war in and of itself does not prove it unjust. If you disagree, you’re wrong. And you’re an idiot.
While I personally oppose capital punishment - probably not for the reasons you think - the catechism of the Catholic Church specifically allows for it. So, like me, your opposition is personal, not a matter of doctrine. Therefore, you may in good conscience still vote for a supporter of Capital Punishment. If you disagree, you’re wrong. And you’re an idiot.
Abortion, however, is a moral evil under church doctrine. A pro-abortion catholic is an oxymoron; the minute you become pro-abortion you are a fucking heretic. The minute you further an abortion, by action or inaction, by thought, word, deed, or omission - you have incurred an excommunication latae sententiae.
Barack Obama has specifically promised to renew funding for abortions via Title X. This is a moral gimme, doctrinally speaking. This doesn’t have the insulation of “The State” indifferently allowing it; this is directly funding it. This is no longer a “pro-choice” position, but crosses the line to “pro-abortion.”
There’s no argument there. And you know what you have to do, if you are a Catholic who voted for Teh Messiah(tm).
No, STFU. Look it up in canon law.
And I expect the “All are sinners…” Yeah, yeah, yeah. Great job, Captain Obvious. Not all sins incur excommunication. Look that up, too, you pompous armchair theologian. Start HERE.
CINO. Catholics in name only.
And I will put Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi at the top of this list.
I don’t know of hardly any politician who doesn’t make a great and pious show out of any photo-op of them walking into church clutching their Bible or Missal. You want to do that? You want to make your “faith” a public issue, then you have done it yourself. You keep it to yourself, you keep it private, it’s another thing. Botox Betty, VAWA Joe, and Barry the Wunderkind have all made their faith an issue, talked about it, and in some instances set themselves forth as instructors of faith.
So Joey, and Nance - since you have brought up church law, it is just, right, and fair - even an obligation - for the Bishops- or your bishop - to correct you. Joe and Nancy have both pronounced on Canon Law, and both are in error. This means first, that they are usurping the magisterium of the church (An excommunication), Teaching heresy (An Excommunication) and aiding in the procurement of abortions, (The Hat Trick!)
This ain’t the bishops “Dictating what to do.”
This ain’t Nance and Joey saying, “I dissent from church teaching on this.”
This is Nancy and Joe saying, “Well, the Bishops are full of shit and it is perfectly allright to carve a baby out of a mother’s womb and kill it, and I’m a Catholic in good standing so other Catholics should follow my example.”
Wrong fucking answer, pal.
You’ve taken on the Bishop’s role to teach, you’ve taught wrong, and you have made - by your own words - your “faith” a public issue. So if you are going to use that faith to further your political ends, the Bishops have the perfect fucking right to smack you down, correct your error, deny you communion, and or excommunicate you - or pronounce you have excommunicated yourselves.
And if we could find a spine anywhere in the collective that is the USCCB, they’d do it tuit suite.
Sadly, I’m not holding my breath. While in places where strong, Orthodox bishops have their See, such politicians shut up, those places are few and far between. Who is Nancy’s Bishop? Brown? Mahoney? Might as well be McCarrick, as they live in Washington. Spineless, gutless, political fucks.
Yeah, I know, I say “fuck” a lot. The cause is sufficient. One thing in life I am sick to death of is the mincing of words. I’ll say ten Paternosters and ten Ave Marias. Note in the link above, saying “fuck” doesn’t incur an excommunication.
Anyways. Gotta run. Again, I apologize.
