…that I tried to talk to asked me the same lame liberal question, intending it to be a squelch:

“So if a restaurant wanted to post a sign that said, ‘Whites Only’ then that should be allowed?”

Short answer:  Yes.  They should be allowed to post “No Dogs” or “Adults Only” or “White People pay a $5 cover charge” or whatever floats their little boat.

Private business.  And as I have oft said, the fundamental liberty is the right to be both wrong and stupid.

You have the right to live. To expect everyone to mind their own business and keep their hands to themselves.  To have your property secured.  To speak your mind.  To pray to whatever God you see fit so long as you keep your hands to yourself, or to worship none at all.  You have the right to a fair and impartial trial if accused of a crime or tort.  The right to go into any government office and recieve services or redress of grievances regardless of your station in life.  While minding your own business and keeping your hands to yourself, you have the right to do as you please in life, minding that you obligate no other in the doing of it.  You have the right to defend yourself, your loved ones, and your property with means up to and including lethal force.  To live where you please.  To associate with whom you please.  To dress as you please.  To paint yourself purple with orange stripes if it floats your boat.  And the right to be both wrong and stupid.

But if you make an ass of yourself, nobody has to put up with you.  Nobody has to listen to you.  To be friends with you.  To hire you, rent to you, sell to you, buy from you.

The government - from the highest perches in Washington all the way down to the most trivial local official, does not have these rights.  But individuals and private businesses have the perfect right to tell you to go fuck yourself for any reason whatsoever.

Charity and compassion are moral obligations, not legal ones.  Abuse them, though, at your peril.

To some people, true freedom is a scary fucking thing.  They never grow up past the stage where they are five year olds blubbering, “Mommy, Mommy!  Tommy called me a turd!”  “Mommy, Mommy! Susie won’t share!”  Mommy, Mommy! Timmy and his friends won’t let me in their clubhouse!”

So what, you crybaby assbags?  Maybe you’re acting like a turd.  Maybe you gobbled up the cookies you had and Susie saved some for later.  Maybe Timm andhis pals are bone weary of your bullshit.

And maybe they are just mean little shitheads.  Again, what if they are?

As someone who is part Indian, “Whiites Only” is morally objectionable to me - even if I can pass as a viking bastard.  It’s wrong.  And my money spends just as well and gets tallied up in the bank just the same.  So it’s stupid, too.  But what of it?  I won’t go where I am just not welcome - and if you go there, I will lose respect for you, but Shitheel Cracker Jim has a right to be wrong and stupid about who he chooses to serve at Cracker Jimmy’s Cafe (Of Chez James, or whatever.)

Put that sign of a gubbmint building - yeah, I will be ripping it off and passing out the fucking tar and feathers.  As far as Cracker Jim’s Restaurant, I will open a Brick and Mortar “Gonzo’s Bar and Grill” across the street from him, serve shitty food and cheap beer for outrageous prices, put a “EVERYONE Welcome!” sign in the window, and hire three people just to run cash registers.  The money will roll in, just for the sheer reason that people will turn and flip the bird to Jim as they walk in.

It’s called “Legislating Morality” and “Imposing Your Beliefs on Others.”  And it’s just as wrong even if you are in the right.
