Okay, question.
Your child is dying, and to save their life requires an operation. While if successful, the operation is almost universally successful, it requires a highly trained surgeon to do it properly. You have the choice of two doctors. One is a White, Christian, Heterosexual Male. The other is the member of a “protected minority” who admits they got into medical school and benefitted through graduation duue to affirmative action and such things as race or gender norming.
Which do you pick to try to save your child’s life? No, you don’t have time to interview them. You have resumes. One who no questioned earned everything, and the other who admits that throughout their career they have benefitted from passes due to their race or sex or sexual orientation or some other claptrap.
Well, the answer is obvious. At least to any person who isn’t playing politics with their child’s life, and if they are, as far as I am concerned the increased mortality from such ideological reasoning - which is probably genetic - can only improve the gene pool.
Well, looks like we are about to have an affirmative action judge on the SCOTUS.
You can rationalize that all you want, but there is no doubt to me that, even if similarly “qualified” and ideologically acceptable, a white man otherwise identical to Sonia Sotamayor would never have been picked. And when you get to that point, when your sex, your color, your faith - is the deciding factor, the only conclusion is you’re an affirmative action quota tally. You’re not the best - hell, you’re not even really a person because you are not being treated as one.
And you don’t deserve any respect, because by accepting it, you obviously have none for yourself.
